Sam Mines has a robust background in commercial real estate finance. He has driven growth and managed portfolios for multiple esteemed companies. Mr. Mines’s experience spans deal and capital sourcing, analysis, loan originating, and portfolio management.

As VP/Loan Originator at Benmark Capital, Mr. Mines led efforts to formalize the underwriting and diligence processes, while also contributing to expanding the company’s book of business. Due to the small originations team, he was involved with every facet of the private credit business - following a deal from its original sourcing to repayment.

Prior to Benmark, Mr. Mines worked under Sten Sandlund as the lead Commercial Real Estate Analyst at IDB Bank. He was a key contributor to the bridge and construction loan portfolio and underwrote financing exceeding $450M over the course of his final year. Notably, he underwrote multiple $100M+ deals, including condo sellout construction financing totaling $290M.

Additionally, Mr. Mines advises The Mines Press, a third-generation printing business, on their real estate and alternative investments.

Mr. Mines attended Rutgers University, where he studied economics.
